Budggy Ai App – Data Deletion Policy

This Data Deletion Policy explains how users can request deletion of their account and related personal data from Budggy Ai app.
1. How to Request Deletion
You can request deletion:
- inside the app through the in-app account deletion path; or
- through our web deletion request page at budggyai.com/data-deletion; or
- by contacting us at Support@budggyai.com if you cannot access your account.
2. What Deletion Usually Includes
When a valid deletion request is completed, we generally delete or anonymize:
- account profile data;
- expenses and income records;
- budgets and categories;
- recurring items and cycle records;
- receipt images and related metadata;
- return and warranty records;
- notifications;
- stored preferences associated with your account; and
- other account-linked personal data we no longer need.
3. Shared Group Records
If you used shared-group features, some group-linked financial history may remain visible to other group members in order to preserve the integrity of shared records.
Where possible, retained shared records will be anonymized or de-identified, for example by removing your direct account linkage or replacing your display name with a generic label such as “Former member”.
4. Data We May Retain
We may retain limited information where necessary for:
- security;
- fraud prevention;
- legal compliance;
- tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations where applicable;
- defense of legal claims; or
- backup and disaster recovery systems for a limited period.
5. Timing
We aim to process deletion requests without undue delay and generally within one month where required by applicable law. In some cases, deletion across all systems and backups may take additional time.
6. Authentication Provider Records
If you used a third-party authentication provider, some provider-side authentication records may remain subject to that provider’s systems and policies. We will stop using those records for active service access once deletion is completed.
7. Backups
Some data may remain in backups for a limited period until backup rotation or secure overwrite occurs. Backup data is not restored to active use except as required for disaster recovery.
8. Confirmation and Safety Delay
Where our deletion flow includes a short safety delay or confirmation step, this is intended to reduce accidental deletion and account disputes. Once deletion becomes effective, access to the Service may be revoked.
