Budggy Ai App – Terms of Services

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Budggy Ai application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by Jacques Tech as a registered developer on Google Play Console for developers (also refer to “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. About the Service
Budggy Ai is a budgeting and financial organization tool. The Service allows users to:
– record expenses and income;
– scan and store receipts;
– add entries using voice input;
– create budgets and category budgets;
– manage recurring items and payment cycles;
– export account data and reports;
– create or join shared groups;
– receive automated AI-assisted categorization, extraction, and insights; and
– manage premium features and subscriptions where offered.
The Service is provided for personal financial organization and information purposes only.
Budggy Ai is not a bank, lender, broker, investment adviser, tax adviser, accountant, insurer, or legal adviser.
2. No Financial, Tax, or Legal Advice
Any summaries, categorizations, forecasts, reminders, recommendations, insights, or AI-generated outputs provided through the Service are for informational purposes only.
You remain solely responsible for:
– your spending decisions;
– your financial planning;
– your tax and accounting obligations;
– verifying all entries and calculations; and
– any actions you take based on information shown in the Service.
You should consult qualified professionals for financial, tax, accounting, legal, or investment advice.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required by the laws of your location, to use the Service.
You may not use the Service if doing so would violate applicable law.
4. Accounts
You may need an account to use certain features. You are responsible for:
– keeping your credentials secure;
– all activity under your account;
– maintaining accurate account information; and
– promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized use.
We are not responsible for losses caused by your failure to protect your account.
5. User Data and Content
You may submit or generate content and data in the Service, including:
– account information;
– financial records;
– receipt images;
– voice-based entries and transcripts;
– budgets and categories;
– recurring records;
– return and warranty information;
– shared group information; and
– support communications.
You retain rights in the content you submit, subject to the rights necessary for us to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service.
You grant us a non-exclusive, limited, revocable license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display your content solely as needed to provide and maintain the Service.
6. AI-Assisted Features
The Service includes automated and AI-assisted features, including receipt extraction, voice parsing, categorization, return/warranty estimation, and financial insights.
These outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting AI-generated outputs before relying on them.
We do not guarantee the correctness of automated outputs.
7. Shared Groups
The Service may allow you to create or join shared groups.
By joining or using shared-group features, you understand that certain shared financial records, group activity, member nicknames, and group-related data may be visible to other members of that group.
We do not verify the truth, fairness, or legal effect of shared group records and do not mediate financial disputes between group members.
You are solely responsible for deciding with whom you share financial data.
8. Premium Features and Subscriptions
Some features may be available only with a paid plan.
If you subscribe through Google Play or another app store, billing, renewal, cancellation, and certain refund processes may be handled by that platform and may also be subject to its terms.
We may change premium features, pricing, packaging, or eligibility at any time, subject to applicable law and platform rules.
9. Acceptable Use
You may not:
– use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes;
– attempt to gain unauthorized access to another person’s account or data;
– interfere with or disrupt the Service;
– reverse engineer, exploit, scrape, or probe the Service except as permitted by law;
– upload malicious code or harmful content; or
– misuse shared-group features to harass, deceive, or expose others.
We may suspend or terminate access based on our suspicion for violations of these Terms – by accepting the terms and/or using the app you accept this condition too.
10. Service Availability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or permanent availability of any feature.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time.
11. Data Deletion and Retention
You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described in our Data Deletion Policy.
Certain information may be retained where necessary for:
– security and fraud prevention;
– legal compliance;
– defense of legal claims; or
– preservation of shared group history, which may be retained in anonymized form.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Budggy Ai, its publishers, developers, team, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, contractors, and processors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses arising out of or relating to the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of:
– the total amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
– 10 EUR if you have not paid for the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
– you violate these Terms;
– we are required to do so by law;
– your use creates risk or harm to us, the Service, or others; or
– the Service is discontinued.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where required, ask you to accept the updated version before continuing to use the Service.
16. Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal. You irrevocably agree that the courts of Lisbon, Portugal shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms or their subject matter.
